Power Dividers

Power dividers are essentially devices that are used to split power or current sources by taking in a single flow of current and then using separate output connections to direct the current flow into two or more directions. This type of technology has created a number of different types of devices that work off this common application, and relate it to a number of different types of scenarios. Here are some examples of the different power dividers that are in use today.

For use around the home, the power divider can find plenty of applications. There is the air drier differential power divider that works within a lot of home dryers to control the flow of current to the barrel of the dryer. For the computers and hand held devices that we use to access communications networks around the world, there are plenty of broadband high power divider options, as well as wideband power dividers that work with telecommunication devices in particular. Radio frequency dividers, or RF power dividers as they are more commonly called, split the power used to capture radio frequency transmissions and receptions. The home power divider equipment may involve some high power divider options, but in most cases the power dividers only have to handle a small amount of current to do the job.

Other types of power dividers come into play in larger companies, public buildings, and in communication networks. Waveguide power dividers and 4-way power dividers are found in facilities with a lot of electronically powered machinery, with high isolation power dividers being common in manufacturing plants. Within the manufacturing industry, the uses of trucks to haul raw stock and finished goods are plentiful, so it should come as no surprise there are heavy truck rear end power divider systems as well.

There are several prominent producers of the power divider around the country. The Eaton power divider is a favorite with communications equipment and similar uses. Kenworth also provides a line of power dividers for many applications, and has an excellent customer support network to assist in the rare event of Kenworth power divider problems. The Merrimac power divider is also very well regarded for its efficiency and long lasting qualities, while the Iden CDMA power divider is a popular choice with computer equipment applications. When it comes to power dividers, it seems as if there is something for just about every type of electrical application that is out there, from conventional power sources and well as batteries, solar energy and other methods.
