As a device that applies some degree of force that will test the integrity of a flow of current, the linear actuator is one of the tools used to ensure that the electrical components that we use every day are both safe and efficient. Because there are so many different applications for electricity in our world of today, there are of necessity a number of different types of linear actuators to handle the various modes of testing required to ensure the production of quality goods. Here are some examples of the different types of linear actuators on the market today.
One of the most basic types of linear actuator is the 12 volt linear electronic actuator. 12V linear actuators are ideal for testing quite a few of the smaller electronic devices around today. You would use a 12 volt linear actuator to ensure that a cell phone was using stored current properly. The 12V linear actuator would also make sure that a simple radio or boom box was processing electrical current as it should. 12 volt linear actuators
A redundant motor linear actuator has the task of not only ensuring that the motor system is processing power properly, but also that the changeover from one level of the redundant system to the second part does not create any fluctuations that could impact the operation of the motor. This is an important part of the function of linear actuators in general, in that the continued operation of the device is the main reason that linear actuators are used for testing so extensively.
Along with redundant linear actuators, there are also the electromechanical linear actuators that check for current flow and efficiency in large types of manufacturing machinery. Heavy-duty linear actuators are used in the textile industry. Aircraft linear actuators certainly are an example of heavy-duty linear actuators at work, as are linear electric actuators for major communication systems.
Both redundant linear actuator types and electric linear actuators can be found at any store that caters to electronic equipment. A number of firms around the country product linear actuators, with many of them having online catalogs and the ability to place orders online as well. Many of these will have whole lines of specialty linear actuators that are geared toward their major customers, or at least to a particular industry need. There are even some surplus linear actuators for sale these days, mostly at sites that deal with equipment parts for older types of manufacturing machinery. No matter what type of linear actuators are required for the job, there is sure to be an outlet where the needed items can be purchased.
